That one was 150gr corelokt from a 7mag at 30 yards. The doe with the missing shoulder was courtesy of a 168gr Berger VLD from a 7mag. It was by far the worst devastation I’ve ever seen. Blade was completely gone. Lower leg was holding by a thin strip of skin.
This is about 2 miles from my house. Normally that creek is 20’ wide and 1-2’ deep. It’s rolling about 15’ deep and 150 yards wide. I’m sitting at 950’ of elevation, so I’m good. But some of them in the valleys are dealing with flooded basements and foundations.
