A lot of Ky turkey kills so far

In just a week of regular season plus one day and the two days of youth season over 20,000 checked in. On pace for a totla
Over 30,000 easily you think? Maybe even a record year. I always thought in Ky and surrounding states about half the season total
Was killed in first week or so of the season So maybe 40,000 is a
Real possibility?

That would either really please Zac Danks or scare him to death

Hunting has slowed down a lot here. Those poor birds were being relentlessly hunted. The trucks and boats on public this year was pitiful.

I don’t think population numbers are up, I think they are just being hunted so hard it’s squeezing the numbers up.

I’ve heard public was being hammered also. A few guys I know that hunt public said they had to deal with more people than ever.

In the fwiw TN season harvest so far is down about ten per cent as of today from
Same first period of days in 2024. I can’t figure out how to get that report by days off the telechek for KY info as I can’t figure out how to go back and get the daily recap for the season in 2024. I sense ky is on the same kill total as last year if not higher and has not dropped the ten percent TN did in the first period. I hunt both states. KY over in two days for me. TN has been a lot harder and I have a tag left but TN goes to May 31 as if anybody wanted to be out there at end of May!!
