Nice cover The original was one of my favorite tunes as a young kid. This one by the Kendalls was my #1. We had an 8 track of this single.
Harmony at it's finest for my ear.
Jeannie was still singing like a mockingbird years later, Larry Gatlin was in the audience here.
Incredible song and even better concert. I remember watching it back in the day. Nirvana was impactful on so many levels and this concert helped cement their place in history. I really liked Metallica playing with the symphony as well.
Kenny Vaughn used to play a little joint in Lexington. My wife and I went over to see him one night and I got to talk with him between his sets. This has always been one of my favorite videos and I asked him about it.
He told me that about a week before they taped the show Johnny Rivers called him and expressed concern. He said he had played a gig in California the week before and the back-up band really made him look bad. He wanted to know if Marty's band would be able to hang with him.....Kenny said he smiled to himself and said, "I think we'll do okay."
Focus on Kenny's accompaniment during the song. Outstanding!
Chris Knight is a great artist and this is not a hit but this song came on yesterday and just kind of lifted me up. Sometimes life’s a grind but we don’t stop.
