Garden 2025

I’ve got a few tomatoes in. I went for it and figured they’d live and I’d be a hero or they’d die. Looks like I wasted them.

They could mud wrestle in my garden right now. Glad I worked in fertilizer.

My first seeding of several different things just started emerging in the greenhouse when all of this started. I'm putting off even going in there and looking at the leggy little fellers. I knew I should have hung the 1000 watt metal halide over them a few days ago.

Planted 75’ of Provider bush beans today, hoping for an early crop of beans as they germinate in cooler temps than most varieties I rectal. I was going to plant a couple varieties recommended by @Bone_Chaser in May, Caprice or Lewis, but couldn’t put my hands on either without paying as much shipping as the beans cost. Gonna go with Kentucky Wonder 125 bush for my summer bean crop.

Strawberries look like they took the 14” line champs but the rhizomes do look planted a touch high after all the rain and settling.

I’ve got taters poking through, corn popping up and planted an acre of corn today. Picked a few berries too off plant I left row covers on a little longer. Other plants got fertilized a round sooner and look a lot better but a week or so behind.

Frost in my lowest elevation this morning hopefully be our last. I’ll plant beans and squash next week if the forecast looks good. Take them 10 or more days to get up in 60 degree dirt anyway.

Busy busy busy.
