Should we kill the separate politics section?

I am actually starting think it’s a good thing to keep it around but I’m trying to get an idea for how the community thinks.
Probally wise to keep it.

I’d say give it a space. Makes it easy to avoid for those that aren’t interested.
We're all going to say whatever we want anyway. Not having it will clutter up other threads. One forum I belonged to years ago had a hidden thread you had to ask to join.
If it spilled out to the main board it would be deleted and the user was warned several times, then they got a temporary ban and, if that didn't fix it they got a permanent ban.
I'm not sure a solid yes or no is the answer.
One thing I do know is the politics of most members keep the other side from participating. If a forum owner is relying on traffic for revenue allowing free speech is not in their best interest.
Myself, I don't like liberals. Stupidest bunch that ever drew a breath and have little desire to interact with them.

The mater forum I'm on has the controversial/political section behind a password. I think that's a pretty good idea given the unique traffic and members from all over the world. The section is supposed to be less moderated but a liberal feminist canuck lives in it with a vengeance and moderates it with an iron fist so no real discussion can be had.

I've seen him refer to fishing a few times but he mostly stays in the political forum
I primarily stay in the whats new page but I feel it deserves its own section.
I like to fish. When I do find a good pond something always messes it up. Never got into Turkey hunting because I was working. Always took time off during deer season. Me and the wife usually always put a couple deer in the freezer. My land is difficult to Turkey hunt. No doubt I could get one if I devoted every day till I did. Usually get me enough squirrels for me since I'm the only one that will eat em.

Face it, most of us spend 90 percent of our board time talking about a lot of stuff other than hunting. I can see where that might turn off some people just coming for hunting information.

Y’all would think I was full of it if I posted every time I went hunting or did hunting related things.
I wish we had a more active blackpowder and reloading group but it seems like we all do our own thing and pattern/group a load, drop a photo and go on.
I probably lean in direction of keeping it for this reason,.and for those that flat don't want to see it they can easily avoid, but as previously stated I'm not hung up on it either way

I believe any forum that has anything to do with firearms directly or indirectly should have a place for it. It's really a 2nd amendment issue for me as much as free speech. Also, a lot of times information gets posted about the crooks that I didn't know, not that I could think any less of them. On rare occasions good things are posted about some that I wasn't aware of either. My .02.
