Anyone here ever organized/managed a firearm raffle in KY? I want to put one together for my local club. Looking for tips/advice.

Thanks

I did a bow raffle. I just went through a local archery shop. They had done them before and helped me set everything up.

Make darn sure every dollar is accounted for and you keep track of tickets.

>Set it up with your preferred gun shop. They may offer a gun at their cost.
>option of store credit if winner wants to upgrade or wants different brand.
>cover the transfer fee as part of the winnings.
>give caliber choices, not everyone may want the single caliber you offer. Cost you some ticket sales.
>know what your minimum goal is for proceeds on ticket sales.
>sell the heck out of the tickets.
>have a hard cut off date for the drawing.
>cheap tickets, $1 tickets vs $25 tickets. People will buy 25 $1 tickets, but not one $25 ticket.
>post it on here if it's not against the rules.
Good luck.

May look in to whether you need a gaming license as well.
Yeah, that's my main concern. Not having much luck getting through to the gaming commission. Though, honestly, haven't really tried that hard.

I've done raffles in an other state, am just trying to figure out the particulars for KY.

I'll bird dog it next week and we'll get it figured out!
